A LAND CRUISER FALLS 200 FEET
A LAND CRUISER FALLS 200′ IN DESERT WELL!
This 200′ hole was dug for a well in Saudi Arabia many years ago. But in this hole you will find a new Land Cruiser and its Driver.
Using heavy equipment, rescue workers pulled out the driver who had minor injuries and concussion. Wow, he’s alive??
Out comes the Land Cruiser with a few wrinkles. Tell me, would a Jeep, Ford or Chevy still be in one piece?
Oh well. A little body work, maybe a tune-up and this Land Cruiser will be ready for the trail again. Who needs sheet metal anyway?
PRODUCTS THAT HAVE WON THE BUTT-PUCKER AWARD
BUTT-PUCKER AWARD WINNER!
Occasionally you will see products on our site that have won the
Butt-Pucker Award. These are items that we recommend you consider should
your Cruiser show signs of the related symptoms that particular item
may improve or fix.
So, what qualifies a product for a Butt-Pucker Award? Easy, it’s a product that eliminates a problem that once scared the crap out of us. Products that have helped reduce the Butt-Pucker Factor by improving the safety or handling of your Land Cruiser. Over the nearly 40 years we have built, tested, crashed or destroyed Land Cruisers we have experimented with all sorts of ideas. Some pretty smart, some stupid as hell. In the old days before there were many products for the Land Cruiser, we manufactured most of our ideas. Roll Bars out of exhaust tubing, that didn’t work. Building 10” suspensions out of hay wagon parts only to have my Dad disable the welder so we wouldn’t kill ourselves. Bikini tops out of canvas dump truck covers only to have one fly off and cover the windshield of the car behind us. Our first Power steering kit used a Scout steering box that we later discovered turned left when you turned right. That was fun for a few days! But the result of all this is todays products are designed from extensive testing and are a lot safer, tho sometimes not as much fun as the backwards steering box.
