This self contained, Waterproof Solenoid Pack replaces the rats nets of Warn solenoids that continually go out and are discontinued by Warn. Note that the Warn solenoids look like old Ford starter solenoids…but they are NOT. And it is dangerous to replace them with a Ford part because the Ford solenoids are momentary use and the Warn are continuous use. Also the Ford parts, when they burn up, will stick in the closed position making your winch operate out of control. The Waterproof replacement Solenoid Pack is the simple fix. It does not corrode and if it fails, it fails in the open position. Minor modifications are required but with a little work, it will fit under the black winch cover. TPI has included a wiring diagram to show you how to wire it up. Very simple and a badly needed upgrade.
