TPI Land Cruiser Power Steering Master Kit comes with the new “slip joint” steering shaft. Allows for body flex and frame movement in hard off-road conditions. U-joints are already installed on shaft. Kit also supplies the special Relay Rod Shaft, Tie Rod End to fit the straight or dropped pitman arm, power steering Box Mount and mounting Bolts. This kit is designed to fit the 1975 and later harmonic balancer and water pump pulley system for proper belt alignment. If you have an earlier year, you may consider replacing the harmonic balancer and water pump assembly with a 1975 and later. You must also move your alternator to the passenger’s side using a bracket from the same years. This will make installing the TPI Power Steering kit a lot easier.

HELPFUL HINTS: To assist you with the purchase of your TPI Power Steering, we have listed all the components below that you will need to complete your installation. You will need the following: #1 (TPS400) Master Kit, #2 choose the Column Bearing that fits your year (TPS72 or TPS73). #3 power steering Box (DPS40). #4 Pitman Arm depending on your suspension lift (DPS41 or DPS42). #5 pitman arm Nut & Washer kit (DPS40-K). #6 power steering Pump (DPS40). #7 pump Cap (DPS40-4). #8 pump Pulley (DPS40-3C). #9 pump pulley Nut (DPS40-3D). #10 Pressure Hose (DPH40). #11 Return Hose (DRH40). #12 Pump Adjusting Bracket (DPS42).

Use the smog bracket from a 1975 and later engine to mount the Pump. You will need to supply the proper belt depending on your application. Use Steering Stabilizer (HSTAW).

V8 applications will not need to purchase a pump. Purchase hoses “only if your pump is already mounted on the drivers side”. Purchase all the above required items for your year and lift and use the pump and mounting bracket designed for your engine.
