Yes, we call this the bastard years. Seems Toyota was either running out of parts or had too many during this time. The 7309-7503 Cruisers had a mixture of 3 speed/4 speed components. A one-of-a-kind transfer case, gears that were never see before or since, an odd transmission and it’s anybodys guess which clutch you may have. Usually a 3 speed clutch bolted to a 4 speed transmission. But no worries, TPI Land Cruiser made a special transfer case overhaul kit just for you. Hand assembled with the correct 3/4 speed components. Kind of like a magical grab box, you may have a few parts left over but everything you need will be included.
